OKAY…so there’s nothing profound about this…it’s actually very stereotypical, but makes for some entertainment if you use your imagination. A new U.K. study summarized by The Daily Mail throws men into six categories (that are kind of stereotypical but let’s continue reading anyway):
1) Mr Hipster
2) King of the Boardroom
3) The Academic
4) Sporting Stubble
6) The Everyman
The groups were decided from a list of over 400 influential men with all sorts of different career paths. From this survey we learn the two groups MOST likely to have a beard is a pro-athlete or a ‘hipster’ – their words, not mine. Over 80% of men in the two groups have grown a full beard or let stubble sit in the past year. The LEAST likely to have beards? Professional writers and business executives. Basically, 56% of men have NO facial hair on the regular; 44% usually have some stubble or a beard.
Here’s the study’s take on the #4 (Left) vs. #5 (Right)
There’s clearly nothing profound here…but please, imagine a #4 standing beside a #5 having a beard off…ha ha ha.
