Papa Roach Makes-A-Wish-Come True
The Make-A-Wish Foundation approached Papa Roach to make a teenage fan’s dream come true, and they we’re totally in. Mark Guerra has been battling a brain tumour while playing in his band, Breaking Boundaryz – and his wish? To record an EP with Papa Roach.
Papa Roach went above and beyond, inviting Mark, his family, and bandmates to New York City for dinner, VIP access to their concert in New Jersey, and yes, they recorded their EP. The band also surprised Mark by releasing the EP online with a percentage of all sales going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Robert Plant’s ‘Zirka’
Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin traveled to Mali back in 2003 to perform in a Desert Festival and film a documentary called Zirka.
He shot most of the footage himself, interacting with street dancers, African villagers and a temple visit. Plant will upload a new episode of ‘Zirka’ on his YouTube channel every Monday for the next eight weeks. The first of which is below:
