Pearl Jam’s former manager has pled guilty to embezzling $300,000 from the band. Rickey Goodrich, who was fired in 2010, used company money for vacations, personal debts and expensive wines. He’s agreed to pay it all back before his sentencing, which would reduce his jail time. If he doesn’t come up with the 300 grand, he’ll still have to pay it back plus spend 14 months in the slammer.
Kings of Leon have stripped down for a new movie. They’ve done an acoustic version of “Last Mile Home” for the soundtrack of August: Osage County. This is the first time Kings of Leon have worked on a project unrelated to one of their own albums; Caleb Followill said, “It was important for us to create a song to complement such a beautiful film.” We’ll have to wait til January 7th to hear the whole soundtrack, but you can hear “Last Mile Home” [HERE]
Turns out that a man living on the streets of Oakland, California was once a drummer for Carlos Santana. Marcus Malone, a drummer in the original Carlos Santana blues band, has been homeless for decades while his old friend Carlos tried to find him. In the end, it was a local news journalist, Stanley Roberts, who found Marcus and brought the two together. Here’s to a happy ending for the former rock n roller. You can watch the video now here:
