Rock & Roll Arrest in Connection with Philip Seymour Hoffman’s Death
There’s a rock and roll connection to the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman. A guy by the name of Robert Vineberg has allegedly been arrested in a Manhattan drug den with three others. He’s a session saxophonist who’s made appearances playing with Mick Jagger and David Bowie – it seems Hoffman may have purchased heroin from him awhile back. Read more HERE.
Letterman Celebrates The Beatles on the Late Show
It’s Beatles Week on the Late Show with David Letterman – he’s invited several musicians to cover classic Beatles tracks paying tribute to the 50th anniversary of their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show February 9th, 1964.
So far, Sting, Broken Bells and Lenny Kravitz have played tributes and still to come, The Flaming Lips and Sean Lennon, the son of the late John Lennon will perform Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.

“What I can say is, we’re one day closer to the next record being released than we were yesterday,”
“Unless there’s what’s called an ‘Act of God,’ I would hedge my bets that ‘201’ would be the first three digits in the release year. And I don’t know much beyond that. We’ve been jamming along. We’ve been putting in some time.”
