The movie premiere of Tapped Out, a film shot in London, Ontario, is happening tonight (April 23.)
Star of the movie and karate wonder kid Cody Hackman joined The Taz Show to talk about life in Hollywood, training Jaden Smith and working with UFC stars.
Local Actor, Cody Hackman, is bringing Allan Ungar’s Tapped Out movie
premiere to London, Ontario courtesy of Lionsgate, VVS Films, and Hackybox Pictures. The premiere
is the first of its kind to hit London screens, and it is set to take place Wednesday April 23, 2014, at
the Masonville SilverCity.
As a writer and actor of Tapped Out, Cody Hackman, a London local and five-time World Karate
Champion, plays the lead character in what is considered to be his breakout role.
The premiere features a variety of Mixed Martial Artists and Actors who have worked together to
compose a modern day version of “The Karate Kid”. The film’s featured actors include, Anderson
Silva, Michael Biehn, Cody Hackman, Krzysztof Soszynski, Lyoto Machida, Martin Kove and Nick
Bateman. The film was produced by a group of young Canadian filmmakers from London and
The story is about a disgruntled teenager, sent to do community service at a rundown Karate
School, who enters a local MMA tournament to face the man who killed his parents.
Tapped Out will be hosting two showings of the film on Wednesday April 23, 2014. The premiere will
take place at 7:30 pm, followed by a public showing at 10:00 pm at Masonville’s SilverCity, located
at 1680 Richmond St, London. Red Carpet event is set to take place at 6:30 pm. Tickets can be
