OPP have introduced “Operation Freeze” – a summer-long initiative to catch kids in the act of doing a good deed. Whether they’re found wearing a bike helmet, picking up garbage, etc., officers will reward kids with a coupon for a Froster at Mac’s. By the end of the summer, they’ll hand out 1,000s of Froster coupons – sweet deal.
OPP Deputy Commissioner Brad Blair, Prov. Commander for Traffic Safety and Operational Support, said, “When police officers work with local businesses to recognize youth, positive things can happen. Partnerships like the ones made during Operation Freeze can leave a lasting impression on our youth and make our communities better places to live.”
Think the plan will encourage kids to become better citizens?
