When you go to a watch live sports…whether it be hockey…baseball…curling – whatever you’re into! You’re signing up to watch the game in the company of others…where there are usually TV cameras catching every play and fan reaction.
I’ve been caught LOOKING like I was picking my nose sitting behind first base at a Jays game (swear it was just an itch!!!). I’ve also been put on the jumbotron at a London Knights game on a FIRST DATE as “best dressed” which was equally awkward.
I completely understand how sometimes baseball can be the perfect backdrop for a nap…the sound of the ballpark is SO relaxing…that is if you’re snuggled up on the couch with your blanky!!! Dozing off at Yankee stadium surrounded by 45000 other fans….when former World Champions, the Boston Red Sox are in town… now that’s something. I know the Yankees aren’t having an AMAZING season but their level of play is certainly not a snoozefest.
Andrew Rector is going after ESPN for 10 million dollars, after having a little cat nap during the 4th inning April 13th, commentators Dan Shulman and John Kruk unleashed what he calls, “an avalanche of disparaging words against him.”
Rector’ believes the announcers implied he was a, “symbol of failure…a confused individual that neither understands nor knows anything about history… or the rivalry between the Yankees and Red Sox.”
No man, it’s simple. You fell asleep in the ballpark…you got caught, and now your face is all over TV and the net. Look yourself in the mirror and try and convince yourself that’s worth 10 million bones…Hahahah!
Good luck with the lawsuit. Re-live his nap here:
