Last night was the Major League Baseball All Star Game. Unlike other sports the All Star game in baseball is usually pretty good & they actually play for something, home field advantage at the World Series.
Last night really belonged to Derek Jeter. The long time Yankee short stop (I hate the Yankees, but Jeter is okay in my books) is making his final lap this year in his pro career. So this was his final All Star game. He got a great ovation when he led off the game & managed to hit a solid double to start it off.
Adan Wainright (who during the ovation had stepped off the mound to let it play out even after Jeter’s insistence to get up there and get the game going) was the starting pitcher and after said this about that at bat:
Uh oh! That’s not something you really say while playing pro sports, even if it is the All Star Game & his night. He did later on insist that he was joking as he spoke with Erin Andrews:

I do think he was joking and this is a lot about nothing. Jeter didn’t know that it had been said until after the game. This is what he had to say:
