In a new plot twist, the man accused of being Phil Rudd’s “hitman” now says the disgraced AC/DC drummer never asked him to kill anyone.
The New Zealand Herald reports that Rudd wanted to hire him as a bodyguard, not a hitman, and offered the man $250,000 and a car in return.
Rudd is still facing other charges — threatening to kill, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of cannabis. He still denies threatening to kill anyone, despite allegations that he phoned a contractor threatening to kill him and his daughter. The alleged call took place in September.
