Attention local musicians attending high school in London!! You have a chance to win studio time and local airplay on FM96 or Country 104 by competing in the Jack Richardson Battle of the High School Bands!
Registration is free and all competing bands will receive a $50.00 honorarium. After the competition we will crown the 2016 Jack’s Battle of The High School Bands Youth Award winner. The winning band will receive certificates for all of the participants, a plaque for the band and the school, a cash prize of $150.00. Plus a complete media development package including: A song professionally produced, engineered, mixed and mastered for release on all digital outlets (include iTunes and Spotify) at London’s famed Charter House Studios . A Live Studio Session Video of the song filmed and edited in full 1080p HD for YouTube and other social media promotion. Professional photo shoot as well as in studio photos captured and edited by Lone Owl Photography for social media and print promotion, and a spin of band’s song on either FM 96 or Country 104FM.

Winner will be invited to attend the JRLMA Show at the London Music Hall on Sunday April 17 and will be presented with the JRLMA Youth Award.

* Self-promotion is an integral part of being in independent bands of today, so 5% of a band’s score will be calculated based on their ability to promote this event on Social Media. Each band will receive a link to a Facebook event which is to be posted to the band’s Facebook Band Page (please create one if one doesn’t exist). The night of the event, the total number of Facebook Shares that the original Band Page post has will be used in the scoring.
** Drawing a fan base to your shows is an important part of being in a band. Every audience member that pays to enter the show will be given the chance to register as a fan for the one band they came to support. 5% of the bands total score will be calculated based the number of their fans that are in attendance.
