Today’s update below
This morning we learned that a man hijacked a Egypt Air flight had been hijacked by a man. He made it land in Cypress because he was so heartbroken that his Ex had left him. (Throw in Hugh Grant and some cheesy music and you have a movie that will make 100 million at the box office.)
All kidding aside, the man did have what looked like was a suicide vest on (it was later deemed to be fake) and risked many people’s lives. With what’s happened in Brussles & Pakistan recently, it’s a very serious event.
No, I’m not saying don’t be the guy taking the plane hostage (I shouldn’t have to say that). Don’t be the guy that took a selfie with him. You heard me. Some guy took a selfie with him.
Yup. That’s it. He did that.
Thankfully everyone is okay and I will admit that it’s so ridiculous that it’s almost comical. But when you’re with someone that might kill a bunch of people use your cell phone to let your family know you love them. Not a selfie!

We have now found out that the man is British citizen Ben Innes. Why the selfie? Innes figured that he had nothing to “lose” so he “took a chance to get a closer look at it”.
That’s right. He thought that the bomb was real and decided to ask for a selfie with the bomber.

Don’t put others lives in danger by doing something that could potentially anger someone in already fragile mental state. The crew should have never let him near the bomber and he should have never asked for a selfie.
Don’t be that guy…..
