London District Catholic School Board Pranks Students for April Fools
Thank god I’m on air after noon, you almost don’t want to believe anything you hear or see today until the clock strikes 12! The best April Fools joke I’ve heard about today was actually put on by the London District Catholic School Board. This morning, they issued a new dress code that would take effect by September, that would result in, “increased physical activity, and eventually test scores, for both students and staff at all schools and locations.”
Let’s read some of that proposed code:
Tops: all tops must be sleeveless, although the standard two-finger rule for straps applies
Sweaters: all sweaters must have hoods (with drawstrings) as well as pockets for cell phones and headphones
Pants: convertible pants (that turn into shorts) and leggings are acceptable
Footwear: athletic shoes only (no ballet flats, heels or dress shoes)
At the bottom…they said Happy April Fools Day…good one guys!
London Knights are Battle Ready for Game 5
Tonight the Knights play back on home turf at Budweiser Gardens, there are still some tickets available in both the upper and lower bowls. You can call the box office at 519-681-0800 ext. 1, visit the Aluminum Associates London Knights Armoury, the OMAC Mortgages Box Office, or head to LondonKnights.com
Forward Max Jones will NOT be in the line-up tonight, who’s been suspended for 12 games for a hit to Owen Sound forward Justin Brack during Game 4. London leads the series 3-1. Now a quick note if you’re going to the game, I’ve got your plans for after.
P.S. Hear Mitch Marner, CJ Yakimowicz, Owen Macdonald and more of your Knights looking back on the 2015 / 2016 season and talking playoff traditions with yours truly, Saturday & Sunday this weekend at 6pm. This hair thing…one of the traditions.
The FM96 crew is going to be at London Music Hall rockin’ out for a good cause with our annual Hope Rocks This House fundraiser for the Ronald McDonald House.
Tickets are $30 ahead of time or two for $50, or $15 with your London Knights ticket at the door!
It’s not your typical fundraising event. Dressing up is not encouraged. You will be supporting a local charity that does so much for families traveling for the best health care for their children, making a home in an otherwise unfamiliar place. Drop by the candy bar and make sure you do some Kareoke with a LIVE backing band!
BIG Concert Announcement Coming At 3pm
I can’t tell you much other than….I’m dying inside keeping this show a secret for a little while longer. It’s a big one. It’s not an April Fool’s joke…although if you heard this band was going to perform a year ago you would have thought it was a joke!
Make sure you’re listening, because I’ll be giving you five chances to win tickets before the end of the show today!
