Allow me to introduce you to Pete, the Toronto Blue Jays fan making headlines for taunting Pablo Sandoval of the Boston Red Sox after that gut-busting swing during his first at-bat against R.A. Dickey on Saturday, Burke family-friend PETE!
Sandoval returned for a pinch-hitter appearance in the ninth inning during Sunday’s series finale and there was Pete, all over national television, and in the hours following the Jays first win at home for the season, national sports headlines!!!
Let’s go over Saturday first:

And now, Sunday, ft. Pete:
Hey Pablo. Need a belt? I got your belt right here! https://t.co/srGUxLueir

I think the best part is that his mother, “Mrs. C” is helping him hold out the belt. She eggs him on and she’s just as big a fan, I see her at almost every game! When it comes to her son Pete, we’re talking about a guy who brings a stuffed plush parrot to the games for Edwin Encarnacion’s at bat – he busts that out while screaming EDWING.
He brings a broom to the game when we’re on the verge of a sweep, not quite the case this weekend as you already know.
He brings an umbrella for our Bringer of Rain (Donaldson!)
He is A HOOT, to say the least.
Check out him & his buds’ sign from Opening Night with Price in the house ha ha:
Never a dull moment in Section 116.
