London Opens First Mental Health Walk-In Clinic
On Mental Health Awareness week, London’s first mental health walk-in clinic is officially open. Family Service Thames Valley saw the need for quick access for mental health resources, where one-on-one counselling will be available every Tuesday between 1pm – 7pm. Services are open to teens, adults, families and couples and WITHOUT an appointment. The clinic will charge a fee based on the patient’s income, and anyone in need of more support will be referred elsewhere in the community.
High School Graduation Rates Up in Ontario
Ontario’s future is looking REALLY good. New research just released today shows the four-year grad rate is 78.3% and the five-year is at 85.5%. Just over ten years ago in 2004, only 56% of students were graduating after four years.
It appears the graduating rates have gone up thanks to high skills majors, dual credits, and more co-op programs.
