Today we are broadcasting live at the corner of King & Wellington until 5pm taking your donations for our friends in Fort McMurray who left their homes, their memories, and their belongings behind as a wild fire took over what they once called home. We’ve got a ballot box here with a Pearl Jam ticket draw going as well for tomorrow’s SOLD OUT show at the Air Canada Centre. Make a donation, make a Pearl Jam song request for the 5 @ 5, and grab a ballot while you’re at it.

Fire Chief Darby Allen says “We think we got this thing beat in McMurray…We’re looking pretty good. We’re still worried about our communities in the south a little bit, but we’ll get it.”

Extinguishing the fire completely will take a month or two, there are hot spots that you have to find and make sure every area is completely taken care of so there are no little flare ups.
Thanks to London Firefighters helping in their own way at the corner of King & Wellington as we broadcast live until 5pm!
