I was just in a wedding and while I had a blast and it was an absolute honour to stand up beside one of my best friends, I wish we (collectively, all the bridesmaids) saw this before the big day! This could be very useful for the breakdowns or unexpected hurdles! HIRE A BRIDESMAID!
VICE just did a piece on Jen Glantz, who has been a bridesmaid over 50 times because of her business. She’s the founder of BRIDESMAIDFORHIRE.COM
She’s there to help the bride pee, talk them off the ledge, shes the on call therapist and personal assistant, shes with you at the alter, and she’s keeping an eye on wedding crashers because she believes being a bridesmaid is a full time job.
Ladies do you feel me when I agree with that statement!? There’s so much pressure, there’s things that go wrong…you need to be a very calm and collected person around a bride and that can be difficult with so much in demand!
Think about how easy ‘tough’ bridesmaid conversations could be with one HIRED! It’s a job she has to do because she’s getting paid!
I’m in awe that there’s someone who wants to do this full time, not quite a wedding planner, a star bridesmaid. I do, however, wonder if you get benefits doing that kinda thing?
