TOURISM LONDON HOSTS FREE OUTDOOR CONCERTS SEPTEMBER 9&10

The 3rd Annual Bamford Bash, a special Tragically Hip Tribute Concert, a Doc Walker 25th Anniversary Showcase
and Dead Flowers Performances
Tourism London is celebrating Country Music Week by hosting free outdoor concerts on Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10. The concerts will take place on an open stage on Talbot Street at the Covent Garden Market in Downtown London and will feature the best and brightest in Canadian country music leading up to the CCMA Awards on Sunday, September 11. Doors open at 6 p.m. and entry is restricted to those who are 19+ with valid ID.
“We are delighted to host a lineup of amazing country music performances on a big stage in Downtown London,” said Chris Campbell, Director of Culture and Entertainment Tourism for Tourism London. “For the uninitiated and for the biggest fans, this is an opportunity to experience Country Music Week, discover new music acts and a chance to see some of country’s biggest stars up close during this four-day extravaganza.”
On Friday, September 9 at 7:30 p.m., the 3rd Annual Bamford Bash kicks off the festival, with Gord Bamford playing his best hits alongside Kira Isabella, Jojo Mason, Jason Benoit, Jesse Mast, Chris Buck Band and Lindsay Ell. This is followed by A Tragically Hip Tribute, showcasing break-out artists performing their favourite Hip songs. The artists include, The Lovelocks, Tim Moxam, David James, Endless Summer, Eric Ethridge, Casey May, The Dungarees and Leah Daniels.
On Saturday, September 10 at 8 p.m., Johnson Crook opens the night’s performances, followed by the Doc Walker 25th Anniversary Showcase at 9:30 p.m. and Dead Flowers taking the stage at 10:30 p.m. with special guests, who will be announced at a later date.

Country Music Week will bring major recording artists and labels to London with official events taking place from Sept 8 – 11th. Unofficially, getting the party started for y’all, the London Music Office presents an all local showcase on Wednesday September 7th at Cowboys featuring Aaron Allen, Julia Haggarty, Them Dang Rattlers, Genevieve Fisher and River Junction Band.
