Lexi Thompson led the ANA Inspiration Tournament by two strokes after 54 holes. The first major of the year for the LPGA.
Majors are the biggest and most important tournaments of the year. Not to mention the most lucrative.
Then this happened…..
An at home viewer, e-mailed in to the officials to show that the day before that a ball was incorrectly placed after being marked. So that means a two stroke penalty for the misplaced ball & two more strokes for an incorrect scorecard. Four strokes were added to her score while she was walking up the 12th on the final round. Putting her behind two strokes.
Really? A fan e-mailed in and the next day this happens? If the officials don’t catch it there’s no way this should ever happen. We’re spectators and not a part of it.
Lexi ended up losing the tournament by a stroke which cost her not only the title, but $150,000.
Don’t be that guy who wants to be a part of it so badly you point out a call to officials that they missed. Really don’t be the officials that decided that it’s okay to do this to someone.

Many had something to say about this, including Tiger Woods
Viewers at home should not be officials wearing stripes. Let’s go @Lexi, win this thing anyway.
