Baker's Beer Blog - Interactive Beer Tasting
Posted 9/10/2010 9:22:00 AM
To some, "Beer Tasting" is an art-form - full of subtle nuances, hints & aromas, distinct characteristics and aftertaste..
To others, Beer is just plain delicious.
I'm a little bit of both...I'll NEVER turn down a beer, because I like discovering new flavours, and you don't know unless you try 'em all!
On the other hand, sometimes I'm in the mood for a Light Lager during the Summer, or whatever I happen to discover rolling around in the bottom of my hockey bag (Mmmmm..warm).
Well if you've ever wanted to delve into the art of "Beer Tasting", the Ontario Craft Brewers have developed an Interactive Beer Tasting Experience - for the Novice beer tasters who may not want to spend the time and money attending classes.
Maybe you'll detect the hint of vanilla that lingers on the back of the tongue...maybe ...

WIth more and more focus on the benefits of locally-grown and locally-produced food, here is some fantastic news for Local Beer Lovers!
Whether you're a fan of Canadian Beer, or your Local Ontario Craft Brewer, the ability to use Canadian/Ontario HOPS allows our beers to be 1 step closer to 100% Canadian grown & produced... Now wouldn't that be a good thing?
Read all about Canadian Hop Harvests [here]
And why not read all about Hops in general [here].
It's great to know what's in your beer!
(besides all that Cold-Filtered Goodness)

Baker's Beer Blog - BEER & MEAT..FINALLY TOGETHER
Posted 8/25/2010 10:31:00 AM
Nothing goes better with Beer...
...Than MEAT.
But even I would have trouble with this product found in South African Grocery stores: (see attached pic)
I would think there would be some health concerns about the meat resting against metal???
No?
Still tempted though....

Baker's Beer Blog - Molson BLUE??
Posted 8/23/2010 9:15:00 AM
Despite the fact that people often think all American Beer is watered down compared to Canadian beer...it's not completely true.
While most beers brewed in the U.S are, several Canadian beers that you buy in the States are actually brewed in Canada - like Labatt Blue, right here in London ON.
Until now..
It seems that due to some odd regulations, Americans will no longer be drinking Labatt Blue from London..
They won't even be drinking Labatt Blue from the U.S.
They'll now be drinking Labatt Blue, brewed in Montreal, by MOLSON!
Confused?
Funny thing is, Molson already brews a Blue.. the Original Blue:
Molson Stock Ale
