At one time The Coach was actually a player. He grew up playing hockey, football, baseball and in the summers was a competitive sailor. He gave up sailing the day after they banned fighting.
Despite having a deep love of all sports his competitive career was hindered by continuous knee and shoulder injuries. In fact he spent so much time on the trainers table that people automatically thought he was a coach. So since he never wanted to pay to get into games, he took up coaching for real.
He has coached many sports at many different levels including an 11 year career as Associate Head Coach of the Queen’s University Varsity Team. After his university career he was inducted into the Queen’s University Coaching Hall of Fame.
The Coach is thrilled to be on the FM96 morning show with his good friends Kelly and Taz. More importantly he loves hearing from the FM96 listeners who are the best sports audience in Canada.
