RE: Safe Schools a must!

I do agree with this. Something an old teacher of mine once said has stuck with me all these years: Bullying is a form of terrorism! It may not be the same methods (and thank GOD for that), but what it essentially does is make kids literally afraid to go to school because of the torment and torture they feel psychologically. And I know there are those who will say "kids will be kids" and how this is, on the surface, another way to cast a bubble over children so they are not ready for the "real w

I'm not sure if that is the debate exactly, over a little schoolyard teasing in a harmless manner. It's when it becomes more serious as in fights and threats that it is cause for concern I think. Regardless, it's important for people to think about this and discuss where we go from here.

COMPLETLY AGREE. Parents should feel safe when their children are at school (putting faith into our educational system) but outside of school whether it be online or outside of the home, it should be the responsibility of the parents. Granted that the parents can't follow their children 24/7 the world sees what can happen from bullying and parents should see there could be a threat to or from their children. My opinion only though.
