What I remember most about Halloween.....is that every house in my neighbourhood had the light on and were giving out candy. You see too many dark houses now. It makes me sad to see kids having to skip over them or cross the street to the ones with decorations up. My favourite costume was my clown suit, which I wore more than once. I won best costume for that one year. My mom also made my sister and I crayon costumes. Yep, we dressed up as crayons. I was blue, my sister was red. As a single mom working full-time with two kids, thinking about that now I owe her a big thank you. She made the whole outfit with fabric and felt with the lettering spelt just right. It was really cool. I can remember one year going out trick or treating and some lady had run out of candy and gave me $5 bucks. When you're little that's a lot of money to put in the piggy bank! I have always loved Halloween and will always love it. At the end of it all, I always loved coming home with a big bag full of candy, dumping the whole thing on the living room floor, picking thru to find the best treats and then trading the crappy ones with my sister.
