Jim Leyland has announced that rookie right-hander Justin Verlander will start for Detroit in Game 1 of the World Series and Kenny Rogers, Nate Robertson and Jeremy Bonderman will follow in the rotation against St. Louis. Tigers have a killer pitching staff.
