RE: You can't justify violence

I don't condone any kind of violence and think its ridiculous that the guy was punched in the head and sad that he died. That being said, we are in a time when people don't take responsibility for their actions and its always someone else's fault. These two guys wouldn't have had the opportunity to punch him in the head if he wasn't defending his pregnant girlfriend in an area she shouldn't have been in. Agree with mosh pits or not, they exist, and you either attend and participate in the moshin

I don't think he was directly in the mosh pit. I think he was simply close to the stage. Regardless, I'll quote you here "we are in a time when people don't take responsibility for their actions and its always someone else's fault." Blah, blah blah, the blame goes back and fourth but when we are talking about someone's death, I think the person who physically caused it is at fault here!

RE: You can't justify violence

I agree...personal choice is everything - if you want to mosh, go for it. I just don't think it's too much to ask to be considerate of those around you who want to be close enough to see what's going on, but don't feel like moshing. I've been to shows where the moshers were totally considerate of those close by and it was great - everyone was happy. To say that someone else doesn't deserve to be there, up near the stage just because they're not thrashing about - that's just ignorant. Esp. at

RE: You can't justify violence

Hey Dunner You're absolutely right. People are stupid they really are. I hope those 2 guys rott their asses in jail. It's a free world and if you want to take your pregnant gf to a show, why the hell not? Who cares whos playing , you should be able to have a good time. Apparently all these trendsetters/gangsters and followers don't think its right. Well they can kiss my ass. Its stupid Brent

RE: You can't justify violence

It's a shame that one has to be subjected to getting kicked in the head and such just to be in a spot where you can see. Why should those of us who don't want to mosh be relegated to the back where we can't see? Also a shame that people can't have a little consideration - can you REALLY not enjoy a show without wildly thrashing about? I'm not saying you have to stand there like a bump on a log, but surely you can dance around without injuring those around you!

I'm not a fan of the mosh pit myself. I don't think it should be banned or anything because it's a part of a rock show and a lot of people love it and personal choice is everything. But for people to use it as an excuse when they have clearly done something wrong is pretty sad. Dunner
