Movers go shirtless ??!!???

I brought this up on Monday afternoon, thinking it would be a funny story to share with listeners. In turn, I received a variety of calls and different reactions from angry movers to office workers.

This is what I said :

I decided because I was moving August 1st, in the middle of summer and in this heat that I would hire movers. It was a good choice because it's so freakin hot. Yet, something kind of unanticipated happened. About halfway thru the move, I walk into my place to find the movers had taken their shirts off and were lifting my stuff SHIRTLESS ! Remember this is not 2 buddies of mine helping for a case of beer, these were paid movers, moving my stuff without their shirts on !!!! I know it's hot but bring a change of shirt or two.

How unprofessional is that ??? Not to mention gross man boobs.

To be honest, I was surprised with the reaction from people saying "what do you expect it's unruly hot outside." Even one guy went as far as to accuse me of "sitting on my a$$" while these guys worked. (I did hire movers, who get paid to move.)

To be clear, the issue wasn't over whether they were sweating but that it's NOT cool for professional movers to work shirtless. It's just not. That's the point I was trying to make.
