It's a sad state of affairs all after it stood for: Forum for American Punk. Home to the Ramones, Talking Heads, Patti Smith among other legends. And now, it's going to be a clothing store.

CBGB is re-opening in March as a high end men's clothing store.

The new store will have nothing to do with the club - which is possibly the only blessing in this case. John Varvatos, the owner, says he does not plan to exploit the CBGB name.

Can't wait to see the renovations....it will look nothing like this when it's all over!
