Well, maybe not so much "need" an iPhone, but I really "want" an iPhone. Damn rational thinking.

It was announced this week, finally, that Rogers will be bringing the Apple iPhone to Canada. The speculation had been there for a long time, but it's now finally official. Rogers executives hinted  that the company's notoriously high wireless data rates may be lowered to drive sales of the smartphone.

I only use a cell phone. No home phone for me. And I'm a guy, so any gadget that can do multiple tasks makes my eyes light up like a fat kid at a bakery. I don't know what it is, but I'm drawn to this device. My current cell phone, basic as it is, does the job. I can text, tell time, check my schedule and oh yah, even make phone calls! I love gadgets. I've got channel changers for the TV, the PVR, stereo, DVD, xBox, iPod. Two remote control cars, for my 2 year old son of course. I had a GPS, but I'd rather not talk about that. Walking through a Best Buy keeps me busy for hours. For some reason, and I consider myself a smart guy (stop laughing) I believe the iPhone will make my life better in some way. Everyday will be sunny, I'll get a raise and my kids will love me more. Thank you iPhone. And that is why I NEED one. Now, I just need to start collecting some empties to raise the $400 to buy one.
