I love sports...hockey, baseball, football, curling even...but I HATE Sports Analysists. Seriously, this has got to be the most useless waste of TV or Newspaper space.
A bunch of out-of-shape guys who watch a lot of sports telling players and coaches how to win more games....as if these players and coaches haven't already studied and practised every option to make their team better and win more games.
As if 1 isn't enough....each sports network or paper has to have like 6 of them...each saying exactly the same thing...but differently.
What game-changing advice do these guys really offer?? Here are a few word-for-word comments made recently during an "expert" analysis of the Canadian World Juniors.
"If they want to win more games, they need to score more goals".
"They have to keep the puck out of their own zone if they hope to have fewer goals against".
"They gotta stop playing the neutral zone and start moving the puck into the opponent's zone and put the puck in the net more often".
"The coach needs to let his players know he expects more goals and fewer mistakes if they hope to win this tournament".
"They have to play more aggressive offensely, without giving up their defensive game".
Really? More offence and stronger defence might help them win more games?
Thank you Professor Brainiac.
