Yes, I’m going to blog about Gas Prices…but I’m also blogging about Online Shopping. After all, they go hand-in-hand.
We’re all getting tired of the gas prices, and we’ve all gotten those emails asking us to “boycott the gas/oil companies” on certain days, but unless you bike everywhere in the city…the price of gas affects you. Heck, even my friends who don’t own a car are affected by the rising gas prices. Some of you rely on us drivers to get you to concerts, events and parties outside the city…and to be honest, I’m leaving the city less and less..I simply can’t afford it. Not only that, but the bus companies are raising their prices because they can’t afford not to. Again, it affects ALL of us..not just the drivers.

Which leads me to this question: Will rising gas prices affect your Christmas Shopping?
More people I know are shopping online..for various reasons. Many people don’t like fighting the crowds, trying to find parking spaces, going to a store only to find out they’re sold out…then having to travel to another location to find the same gift. But lately, I think gas prices are also affecting the online shopping trend. Face it, it will cost you money just to drive to a store..without even buying a gift. It used to be just the big companies that offered online shopping…but I’ve noticed that many of the smaller retailers are now offering ALL their products online..and that’s a good move.

Online Shopping is the way of the future…its’ safe, cheap and won’t cost you at the pumps. The stores that embrace it will survive…the ones that don’t….well, good luck! You’re gonna need it this holiday season!
