Our building is locked down on the weekend. So I had to come in and let Raine Maida into the station. It was the first time I have ever met him. I had heard that he could be a bit difficult at times (really we all can be). It was the absolute other end of the spectrum. He was very nice and personable.
I don't think I've ever heard of someone doing this. Raine went outside and grabbed people took them inside and let them watch soundcheck. I'd say that is pretty cool to say the least.
As for the show, it was great. Some unexpected covers including "Ohio" and even a interesting cover of Billy Talent's "Try Honesty". Over all I was very impressed and can't wait to cross paths with Raine again so I can tell him how much I enjoyed the show.
