Sarah needs party planning advice
Tuesday, July 24, 2007
I have a bit of dilemma&I have a birthday party to plan for my kiddo&she is only going to be one this year and thats a big deal&I think&I want to celebrate the occasion and throw a party&but I know she wont remember it at all&
Here is where the problem lies&almost all our family is from out of town, meaning they would have to travel at least an hour to come, PLUS I am NO good at throwing parties.. I always go WAY overboard and am disappointed afterwards&I buy too much food&spend all day running around and not enjoying myself..
So that makes me lean towards just having a low key BBQ or a small party with our very close friends (and residents of London and surrounding area)&
I feel guilty though.. will she be let down looking back that we didnt make a big deal about her first birthday??&and if we keep this one small&at what age do you bring out the clowns, magicians, pony rides and bouncy castles???
