How young is too young?

A London Fire fighter and his girlfriend who appeared on the Dr.Phil show yesterday at 5 pm. When they started dating he was 35 and she was 17. She is gorgeous but cmon now what age is too young? Because I know of a mathematical equation to determine the minimum age of the person you can date. It goes like this:

Take your age divide by 2 and add 7. So&.for example if you are 35 &35/2=17+7 =24. Its not scientific but hey... kind of a cool way to know how young is too young. It does depend on life experience and other things too. What do you use for a guide? How old is too old and too young?
