Its nice to know that you felt bad about hitting the cat . People who say it is fine don't have a heart , it doens't matter even if you aren't a cat lover , you should still feel bad about it !!!

Accidents happen, a responsiblie owner would have had their animal on a restraint or confined. Not your problem Taz.

Hey Taz. As a cat owner, I was devestated when I found my kitten hit on the road. Nobody even stopped to knock on the door. You're being a standup guy by admitting you killed someone's adored pet. You have more balls than most.
Keep on rocking.

I have always been a cat person and always will be. I converted my husband to a cat person too, but it wasn't hard since he grew up with a pomeranian.

Taz, I hope you feel really bad about it (I know you do). I can't believe people were calling in saying "10pts" for hitting that cat. That's really awful. I could rant about that all day, as I would die if someone ever hit my cat. You better post this so those callers know I'm pissed!!

Yes, it sucks to hit a cat, dog, or other creature, but you just gotta move on. Be happy that you didn't hit a moose or deer and total your car!

poor taz
i would feel horrible too if it were me...
but if cats are allowed to roam free most of the time, especially in busy areas...you got to expect that its going to happen

I can't believe how many people this morning called in and said good job on ending a living creatures existence. In nature doesn't everything have a fundamental right to exist?
Yes Taz smoked that cat by accident but is this something that should really be applauded? I really enjoyed the gentlemen who said we had too many cats in our city to begin with, we'll my friend I sincerely hope that someone doesnt see you as an un-wanted or replaceable commodity as you see felines and I really hope

I think I'm not alone when I say your respect for animals and consideration for others is refreshing. This morning I was listening to your show and was disgusted by the caller who said you should "give yourself ten points" because "cats are a nuisance". Sometimes I wonder if the way we treat the most vulnerable members of our world can give huge insight into a person's nature. I am very impressed by yours, Taz.

I was listening this morning and it almost made me sick to hear what people were saying!!! I work at an animal hospital and people are so attached to there pets, they're family members! I'm not trying make you feel bad.... things happen and atleast you care. I'm not a cat person myself but I am human and taking another creatures life is no laughing matter.
I feel for ya man is I guess what I'm trying to say and well some people are insensitive jerks!!!!

I just wanted to say how horrible the people are that called in and said "good riddence"...screw you guys. Cats are just as great as dogs, and some cats are even better than humans. That's all I have to say about that. Thanks!
