RE: Sitting down at a rock concert is LAME!!!

I love that London is getting big names to the jlc and have seen quite a few concerts be/c of this, however i must say that the crowds at those shows suck in comparison to larger markets i.e. toronto/detroit...i was on the floor for REM and was told to sit down??? and have seen people sitting for bands like NIN...anyway the only concert at the jlc that hasn't disappointed was Pearl Jam perhaps be/c a good portion of those fans came from outside london...BOOOURNS LONDON learn how to ROCK!

I was also at the Cult concert on sunday night (WHICH BY THE WAY WAS AWESOME), and yes... I was one of the people sitting down for most of the concert. But ... this was my own decision, NO i'M NOT LAME) and can't complain about the people in front of me , even if they were dancing like strippers, grinding against their boyfriends, and making out .Hey what are you gonna do right? P.S. Thank you FM 96 for the free tickets, you guys rocked!

I totally agree, i was standing at a sum41 concert and my own friends told me to sit down. They said I was embarassing them. Concerts are a lot more fun when you stand up and actually enjoy them. Erika

Totally agree! I was lucky enough to have front row seats for the Cult, I stood the entire time, as well as the rest of the first 5-10 rows behind us. As for the other side of the stage, I saw a few people in the front row sitting, was pathetic! If you're gonna sit the entire show, grab the section seating, not floors!

For the most part I agree, I like to move around and I rock pretty hard at any concert. I haven't been to too many concert where I'm not up out of my seat and dancing, banging, whatever. But for the Cult I have to say, we had four imbeciles in front of us who were clearly fried on coke. They were more fidgety than a busfull of three year olds. The one guy in front of me was the only one screaming during their acoustic Edie. When they weren't trying to make the devil horns improperly, they wer

I go to at least 50 shows a year and at about half of them someone tells me to sit down. I am 6'6 and feel bad sometimes, but come on... its a concert. its the same thing when they tell you there is no beer aloud or no "smoking" come on its a concert!!

Rediculous!!! When I pay big bucks to see my favorite bands I feel I have bought the right to use my seat or not. I have never sat for a concert and most likekly never will. I have no problem with people that like to sit I have no problem with it, just don't ruin it for everybody else. For the people that want to sit and quietly listen to their music then I have a little advice. Stay home and listen to your CD on your comfy lazy boy and don't ruin the fun for everybody else that feels the m
