Tucker and I were talking about going back to school, since today is the day that all the kiddies head back for another year. This time of year always bring back memories…from putting on your favorite new fall outfit, regardless of the fact that it’s still 26 degrees out!...slinging on your backpack, full of fresh pencil cases and notebooks….waiting for the bus and seeing your friends for the first time all summer….I will be the first to admit that I HATED every minute of school while I was there…but looking back, like with most things…it really wasn’t so bad. I just wish that especially in high school, curriculum leaned toward the practical more than theory. I have several friends that are teaching high school and they HAVE told me that things are different since we were there and that more skills are being taught to kids that they will be able to use in their everyday life. I am happy about this…I never wanted to be a lawyer or a doctor or any other kind of professional…I just wanted to know how to be a better writer and communicator, make some memories and get on with the rest of my life.
