Ellen DeGeneres is hoping the power of television and celebrity will give a dog some special treatment. During her show on Tuesday…Ellen lost it and started crying as she explained what happened.

Now am I the only one who thinks that SHE is totally in the wrong and should be backing up the shelter for it’s action…She signed a legally binding contract…she should have known that she wasn’t allowed to give the dog away…to a family with kids or a single person…it shouldn’t have mattered…

I know her point was to apologize to the family for having the dog taken away (and hopefully for the shelter to see the show and give it back)…but honestly…they had it living with them for a week…if the shelter won’t give the dog back…she can get them a new puppy bought legally from another shelter or breeder on behalf of her hairdressers family

What do you think…should the shelter bend the rules for Ellen??? Should she suck it up??? Or call more attention to the situation, and force them to give the dog back
